New Brisbane design agency helps clients day-sprint to success

A new Brisbane design agency is helping local clients day-sprint their brand to success - offering a model that expedites the creative process for a new brand or re-brand.

Gangplank is a new start-up in Queensland led by Brenton Craig, a Creative Director from an advertising, graphic design and lecturing background.

Brenton started Gangplank with a vision to solve creative problems and help build brands with proper pace and passion.

Brenton said his team’s years of experience working with clients across a range of industries helped them formulate their new model - to build brands in a day.

“I believe local organisations are looking for a more effective, efficient creative process that truly delivers on a brand build or re-build,” Brenton said.

“Discover, define, sprint - we work hard to build brands in a day - known as the Brand Sprint.

“Brand Sprints are our solution to a problem that creeps up all too often in typical design project pipelines: the inefficiencies that come with long feedback loops and broad scopes of work.

“Brand Sprints allow us to work more iteratively and collaboratively with our clients along with timelines that are both practical and motivating.

“Working in day-long bursts helps our team and clients stay focused, energised, inspired, and aligned throughout the lifeline of a project.”

The Gangplank model helps local brands discover their unique selling point, define their visual direction and sprint alongside the creative team in a carefully-planned session to achieve a result that really delivers.

The start-up is offering Brand Sprint Packages to local businesses looking to start 2018 with a strong refresh of their brand, or a creative design conducted from scratch.

Brenton said the start-up worked hard to re-envision the brand of Grazegrind, a Brisbane CBD grab’n’go cafe, after they spent two years redefining their systems and offerings.

“We were so excited when Grazegrind approached us to refresh their brand,” Brenton said.

“We built an identity and photographic style around the key thought ‘fulfil every moment’.

"This idea lead the way to a demographic insight and the visual narrative of a corporate pink tie and the power of a single moment – whether it be a choice in fashion or food – as an opportunity to express yourself.”
